Obituary for Brian Philip Baswick

It is with great sadness that the family of Brian Baswick announces his passing on Wednesday, March 3rd, 2021 at the age of 65, after a long illness. Brian will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 45 years Bonnie (Gekiere) and children: Karen Nunn (Jamie), Darryl (Lyndsay Cote) and grandchildren: Bria and Alivia Nunn and Bryson Baswick. He will be greatly missed by his mother Yvonne Baswick and brother Barry and by his sisters-in-law Anita Pool (John), Victoria Gekiere and brother-in-law Ken Gekiere (Cindy). Predeceased by his father Stan Baswick, mother and father-in-law George and Paula. Gekiere, sister-in-law Judy Baswick and brother-in-law Barry Gekiere. After retiring from tobacco farming, Brian and his wife Bonnie enjoyed travelling to many destinations around the world. Brian was an avid hunter and fisherman and one of the highlights of his life was guiding in Brown’s Marsh.

A Complete Private Family Liturgical Service will be conducted on Monday, March 8th, 2021 in the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes- Burial and Cremation Service Inc. chapel, 40 Queen Street, Langton by Rev. Father Ben Huyge. All attendees must wear a face mask and maintain social distancing guidelines. Cremation has taken place with later inurnment in the Sacred Heart R.C. Cemetery, Langton. On Brian's tribute page, friends and relatives are invited to offer their support and caring by posting photos, sending flowers, sharing special memories and hugs from home.
