I met Carla and Juri at First Baptist Church. We always had great visits at social events at church as I was also born in the Netherlands and we enjoyed talking about Holland. She was a wonderful lady! She is now in heaven with her Saviour. No more suffering there with Parkinsons. May God give the family comfort during this time of loss especially when a service has to be done virtually.

We first met Carla at a dance in the Hickory Hills clubhouse in 2005 and she and Juri became dear friends from that day on. Carla told me about singing with the Melody Makers and the Tillsonburg Senior choir and encouraged us to join which we did. Love of music brought us closer together. We shared lovely Dutch treats in her home and ours. We watched her struggle with Parkinson’s disease but she never complained. She was inspiration to us on how to handle suffering. We will miss you Carla, Rest In Peace. Carsten & Miriam

Carla and Juri were our first friends when we moved to Tillsonburg. We enjoyed being together golfing, dinners out, visits at each others homes and attending church together. They had many wonderful stories to tell of their life in different countries. Carla was like a sister to me and I will miss her warm smile and friendship very much. Nancy & John Plug
