Obituary for Carol Ann Plume (Leishman)

It is with deep sorrow, we the family announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many, Carol Ann (Leishman) (Hill) Plume, a resident of Hickory Hills, Tillsonburg since 2017 and formerly of Burnt River Ontario, on Saturday, January 16th, 2021, at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital. Carol will be greatly missed by her beloved husband of 23 years Samuel Elbridge Plume and Samuel’s children: Tina Hillier (Glenn), of Bowmanville; and Doug Plume and family, of Ingersoll. Survived by her son John Hill (Kelli) and family, of Espanola. And will also be missed by Darnelle and family. Predeceased by her parents: Archibald Saddington Leishman and Lorna Agnes (Franklin) Leishman. Also predeceased by her son Michael (2020) and survived by his family members.

Carol worked at Motorola in the 1960’s. She also worked for Rainbow School Board/and/York Region (Thornhill) school board. Her colleagues knew her as a kind soul, supportive and compassionate person. Carol enjoyed travelling with Sam. Carol’s passions were crafts (tole painting), shopping, flowers and gardening. She enjoyed spending time with her husband Sam and their daily walks together. Family was especially important to Carol and her main focus.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life in Carol’s memory will be held at a later date.
