Ouimette, Catherine Ann (nee Benjamin) (1951 – 2022) –
It is with sadness, we the family announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, Catherine (Cathy) Ann Ouimette, of Tillsonburg, on Saturday, February 26th, 2022, at the age of 70. Cathy was born in Saint John, New Brunswick, to the late Edwin and late Mary (nee Ellis) Benjamin. Cathy is predeceased by her much loved husband and best friend of almost 50 years, William Ouimette (November 8, 2011). Survived by her much loved children: Rick Ouimette, of New Brunswick; Glen Ouimette (Anne-Marie), of Calgary, AB; Candice Ouimette, of Tillsonburg; Jeff Ouimette, of Sudbury; Shawn (Faith) Ouimette, of Sudbury; and Richard Ouimette (Adrienna), of Tillsonburg. Also lovingly remembered by 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Dearly missed by two siblings James (wife Linda), of New Brunswick; Bruce (late Donna), of Brampton, and by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased be three siblings David (late Marilyn), Robert and Betty.
In keeping with Cathy’s expressed wishes, cremation will take place following a private family farewell in the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes- Burial and Cremation Services Inc. Chapel, 262 Broadway, Tillsonburg (519)842-4238. Later inurnment will take place in Alban Cemetery, Alban, Ontario, beside her late husband William. All who knew Cathy are welcomed to share special photos, loving memories or contribute memorial donations to the “Canadian Liver Foundation” or to the “Kidney Foundation of Canada” via Cathy’s online tribute page at www.verhoevefuneralhomes.com.
