Bell, Charles Francis (March 1, 1938 – March 11, 2022) –

It was with our deepest sadness we announce the sudden passing of Charles Francis Bell, born March 01, 1938. He was deeply loved by his family including his wife Barbara Bell, children Marlene Hopkins, of Tillsonburg, Dave Finch (Roseanne), of Tillsonburg, Eileen Arthur (Howard), of Norwich, Paul Finch (Cheryl), of Tillsonburg, Tracy Finch, of Tillsonburg and brother Bert Bell of Hagersville. He will be sadly missed by his 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and lifelong friends. He will be especially missed by his golfing buddy. Charlie is predeceased by his first wife Geraldine Bell (2013), daughter Barbara Hulet, son-in-law Larry Hopkins, and sister Rosaleen Esbaugh.

Charlie was an avid golfer, enjoyed gardening, and spending time with his family and especially watching hockey and baseball games. He was a devout member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Tillsonburg and was faithful Brother Knight and member of Delhi-LaSalette Knights of Columbus, Council #5095. Charlie retired from his factory in Simcoe and was the superintendent of his apartment building for several years where he took pride in caring for the building and the people in it.

In keeping with Charlie’s expressed wishes, a public funeral mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, March 17th, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s R.C. Church (51 Venison St. W., Tillsonburg) by Rev. Fr. Thomas Kuriacko. Interment will follow in the Our Lady of LaSalette Cemetery (88 La Salette Rd., La Salette).
