Obituary for Cheryl "Lynn" Tisdale

TISDALE, Cheryl ‘Lynn’ (November 21, 1952 - January 28, 2023)

It is with sadness that we the family wish to announce the passing of our much-loved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Cheryl ‘Lynn’ Tisdale, surrounded by the love of her family, on Saturday, January 28th, 2023, at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, at the age of 70. Lynn was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Tillsonburg. During her working years, Lynn was employed with Woolco, Fleck Manufacturing, and most recently the Tillsonburg News. Lynn is lovingly remembered by her sons and partners: John Evanitski (Lauri), of Saskatchewan and their children; Jason Evanitski (Lisa), of Delmer; Michael Evanitski (Rebecca Dietz), of Courtland. Always a proud grandmother to Timothy, Jessica, Katelyn, Sheridan, Jordan, Michael, Draven, and Lilly. Caring great-grandmother to Aislinn, Blake, and Sophie. Dear sister of Sandi Tisdale, of Simcoe and Jeff Tisdale (Barb Fehr), of Stratford. Caring sister-in-law to Judy Tisdale (late Terry, 2014), of St. Thomas; Deanna Tisdale (late Vern, 2013), of London. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by her sister Lee Tisdale (2017) and by her youngest brother Bret Tisdale, Petty Officer (2nd Class) R.C.N. (2017), as well as by her parents Harley Gordon Tisdale and Dorothy Jean (Brown) Tisdale. Lynn will be dearly missed by her church family and former work colleagues.

In keeping with Lynn’s expressed wishes, a public traditional funeral service to honour her life and faith will be held on Wednesday, February 1st, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 60 Vienna Rd., Tillsonburg, by President Mark Million. Everyone who knew Lynn is invited to attend a public visitation on Tuesday, January 31st, between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Tillsonburg, as well as on February 1st, between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place in Tisdale Family Plot of Bethel Cemetery, 853 Colonel Talbot Rd, Eppels Corners.
