RANCOURT, Claudette Demerise (Pouliot) (September 9, 1948 – March 12, 2023)
Arrived Safely into the Arms of Her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, March 12th, 2023, Claudette Demerise (Pouliot) Rancourt, a longtime Tillsonburg resident, at the age of 74. Claudette was born in Thetford Mines, Quebec, to the late Omer and Flora (Gilbert) Pouliot. Claudette was a member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Tillsonburg and in her working years was a dedicated employee of Johnson Controls for 3.5 years, then at T.R.W. for 16.5 years. Claudette is dearly missed by her loving husband of nearly 55 years, Herve Alphonse Rancourt. For many years, they wintered together in Florida, where they enjoyed making memories and gained some lifelong friends. Always a caring mother and much-loved grandmother to: Richard (Crystal) Rancourt, of Delmer and their children Caleb and Sarah; Michel Rancourt, of Tillsonburg and his children Alexis and Connor; Claude Rancourt, of Tillsonburg. Survived by four siblings Gilles (Jeanette), Micheline, Lucille (late Serge), Ritchel (Lise), all of Quebec, as well by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws. Predeceased by five siblings Roland (surviving wife Mary), Guy (surviving wife Angele), Denise (late Jean-Marc), Marcel (surviving wife Nicole), and Ginette (surviving husband Pierre).
In keeping with Claudette’s expressed wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends, neighbours, and relatives are invited to attend a public visitation held on Saturday, March 25th, 2023, between 10:15 a.m. and 12:15 p.m., in the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes- Burial and Cremation Services Inc. Chapel, 262 Broadway, Tillsonburg. All are invited to attend a family eulogy at 12:15 p.m., followed by a Funeral Liturgy of Christian Burial to honour Claudette’s Life and Faith at 12:30 p.m., in the funeral home chapel, by Rev. Fr. Seejo John, of St. Mary’s R.C. Church.
