Obituary for Daniel W. VanEenoo

VanEenoo, Daniel (October 14, 1941 – October 11, 2022)

Daniel W. VanEenoo formerly of Langton, passed away after a courageous struggle with Alzheimer’s Disease with his loving wife by his side at the Maple Manor, Tillsonburg on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 in his 81st year.
Dan was a wonderful husband and father who deeply cared about all his family. Much loved husband, of 59 years of Rose Marie (Vanlauwe) VanEenoo and proud and loving father of his children: Jeffrey (Irene), Julie, Susan (Michael Valiquette), and a much-loved grandson Alexander. Survived by his brother Roger (Liliane), two sisters-in-law Liliane Vanlauwe (Ramsay Cairns), and Suzanne Steyaert, as well as by his nieces, nephews, and cousins. Dan is predeceased by his parents: Bernard VanEenoo and Julia (Willem) VanEenoo, predeceased by his brother-in-law Henry Vanlauwe (1992), his sister-in-law Leona Gibbs (2020). Dan was a proud tobacco farmer and loved playing golf, darts and pool with his buddies. Dan made an effort to give back to the Langton area community, as the former President and a former member of the Langton Lions Club, for over 27 years. Past President of the Langton Belgian Fair Association and former shareholder with the Delhi Belgian Hall. Dan was a member of both Sacred Heart R.C. Church, Langton, and St. Mary’s Church, Tillsonburg.

Public visitation will take place on Thursday, October 20th, 2022, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes – Burial and Cremation Services Inc., 40 Queen Street, Langton (519) 842-4238. Public Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at the Sacred Heart R.C. Church, Langton on Friday, October 21st, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., by Rev. Fr. Seejo John. Inurnment to follow in the Sacred Heart R.C. Cemetery, Langton.
