Obituary for Darlene Clara Mae (Helmer) McIntyre

McIntyre, Darlene Clara Mae (nee Helmer) (August 29, 1948 – September 13, 2022) –

The McIntyre family wishes to announce the peaceful passing of their much-loved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Darlene Clara Mae (nee Helmer) McIntyre, on September 13th, 2022, at her late Langton residence, at the age of 74. Darlene was born to the late George “Pokey” and Dorothy Helmer. Darlene was a devoted member of Houghton First Baptist Church. She is lovingly remembered by her children and their families: Tammy McIntyre, of Langton; Dwayne (Raeann) McIntyre, of Delhi and their son Bryce; Owen (Treacy) McIntyre, of Tillsonburg and their children Paige and Ethan. Also dearly missed by her sister Sandy Starling (Derryl) and by her sister-in-law Lou Ann Helmer. Predeceased by her husband Wayne McIntyre (1990), and by her brothers Robert “Bob” Helmer (1985) and Gary Helmer (April 18, 2022).

In keeping with Darlene’s expressed wishes, a public traditional funeral service to Celebrate her Life will be held on Saturday, September 17th, 2022, at 2:30 p.m. in the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes Chapel, 40 Queen Street, Langton, by Rev. Charles Mayo and Rev. Adolph Hahn. Burial follows in the Cultus Cemetery. Everyone who knew Darlene is invited to attend a public time of visitation and remembrance on Friday, September 16th, 2022, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes Chapel, Langton.
