It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our much-loved son, father, grandfather, brother and friend, David ‘Dave’ John Dickens, on June 4th, 2021, at his late residence, at the age of 63. Dave is a lifelong member of Langton Baptist Church. He attended high school in Delhi and Valley Heights. He then attended and graduated from Niagara College, earning an Electrical Degree. For many years, Dave worked in construction and was a dedicated employee for over 20 years with TRW. Lovingly remembered by his daughters and their families: Jennifer (Dwayne Waugh), of Delhi and their children Kendra Ellen Waugh, Logan David Samuel Waugh; Letisha Dickens (Thomas MacGrandles), of Brantford and their children Jennika Kylee Dickens, Damian David Bruce MacGrandles, Jocelyn Ivy Marie MacGrandles. Survived by his siblings Cathy (Danny Maxwell), of Langton; Candace (Bob Downs), of Delhi; Rebecca (Jeff Morris), of Courtland; Dustin (Carolyn) Dickens, of Milton. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by his oldest brother Randy Dickens (2011).
In keeping with Dave’s expressed wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service to celebrate Dave’s life will be held on Friday, June 18th, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. in the Langton Baptist Cemetery, by Rev. Allan Wilson, of Langton Baptist Church. All guests must bring and wear a face covering and adhere to social distancing guidelines.
