Obituary for Elbarta Johanna Snellen (BrüneKreeft)
Welcomed Home – Safely in the arms of Her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, Elbarta Johanna (BrüneKreeft) Snellen a resident of Quaker Street, RR3 Norwich with her loving family by her side, on Wednesday, September 30th, 2020, at home, in her 83rd year. Born in Kootwijkerbroek, Holland emigrated to Canada in 1950. Dedicated Member of the Oxford Baptist Church, Woodstock and also attended North Broadway Baptist Church, Tillsonburg. Elbarta will be remembered as a loving and caring wife of 49 years of her late husband Hendrick Snellen who predeceased her (February 15, 2010). Loving and dedicated mom of Jacky (John Taylor), Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA, and their children: Jessica, Joshua (Abigail), Joanna; Gerrit (Kim) Snellen of RR3 Norwich and their children: Tricia (Bob), Johanna (Matthew), Alyssa (Brad), Jenna (Brandon) and Julianna; Albert (Tammy) Snellen of RR3 Norwich and their children: Justin, Collin, Cameron. Proud and loving great-grandmother (“OMA”) to five great-grandchildren. Dear sister and sister-in-law of: Maas (Shirley) BrüneKreeft, RR3 Tillsonburg; Alie (George Ryken), Castleton; Sally (Alex Szucs), Port Dover; Henri BrüneKreeft, Courtland and several nieces, nephews and cousins both in Holland and Canada. Survived by a brother-in-law John Ryken, Oshawa. Predeceased by a sister Hennie Ryken and a brother George (Geurt) BrüneKreeft (Feb 22, 2012). Also predeceased by two infant sons: Gerrit & Aart.

Guests must bring and wear face masks and maintain social distancing rules. Private Family Christian Funeral Service to be conducted on Tuesday, October 6th, 2020 at 12:00 noon in the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes Chapel, Tillsonburg by Rev. Mark Barrett, of North Broadway Baptist Church, Tillsonburg.
