Obituary for Eleanor Marie Prouse (Plato)
PROUSE, Eleanor (January 17, 1927- April 13, 2022)
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Eleanor Marie Prouse (nee Plato), in her 96th year. Many will remember Eleanor for her years of dedication as a Sunday School Teacher at Avondale United Church, Tillsonburg. Predeceased by her daughter Karen Kennedy and parents Willard and Bessie Plato. Survived by Dennis (Allison) Prouse, Cheryl (David) Seabrook, Duane (Lynda) Prouse and son-in-law David Kennedy. Lovingly remembered by her 8 grandchildren, Ryan, Allison, Selina, Grant, Adam, Graham, Meaghan and Charlotte. Eleanor was the great-grandmother of 9.
In keeping with Eleanor’s expressed wishes, cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at Avondale United Church, Tillsonburg for public visitation on Saturday, May 14th, 2022, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm (service time). A Public Memorial Service to Celebrate Eleanor’s Life will be held on Saturday, May 14th, 2022, at 12:00 pm in the Avondale United Church, 60 Harvey Street, Tillsonburg. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to “Avondale United Church, Tillsonburg” at Eleanor’s online tribute page at www.verhoevefuneralhomes.com or by contacting the Maurice J.
