Obituary for Elmer Keith Trickett

The family of Elmer ‘’Keith’’ Trickett are sad to announce his passing on September 13th, 2019 in Palliative Care at Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll in his 76th year. Loved husband of Barbara (Cornwall) Trickett and loving father of Stacey (Trickett) Morris (Rob Paulins), Daniel K. Trickett (d. 1973), Amanda Trickett (d. 1986). Proud Grandfather of Bennett Morris and Lillian Morris. Survived by sister Linda (Mel) Gohm, sisters-in-law Betty Trickett and Carol Trickett and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Elmer Ray Trickett and Gladys Mildred (Pickard) Trickett. Also predeceased by his sister Jean Swick and her husband Robert Swick, brothers Wray and Robert ‘’Bob’’, and an infant sister Debbie. Keith worked many years for Milk Distributors in Tillsonburg, Simcoe, London and Kitchener. Enjoying the visits with his customers and being out in the fresh air. He truly enjoyed coaching the young boys of the Courtland ball team up to and including his time of being their player/coach, when they were young men. In later years, he loved the friendship of playing pool with his dear friends Paul Decoopman, Larry Demers, Dan Bahnuk and other friends at Nutty’s Bar and Billiards in Woodstock. Paul’s wife Cheryl helped keep Barb company at the games and tournaments. Keith was always proud of his daughter Stacey for her strong, independent loving and caring nature.

In keeping with Keith’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Barb and Stacey invite friends, relatives and neighbours to attend a time of visitation on Friday, September 20th, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. (service time). A Memorial Service to Celebrate Keith’s Life and Legacy will take place on Friday at 2:00 p.m. in the MAURICE J. VERHOEVE FUNERAL HOMES – BURIAL AND CREMATION SERVICES INC. Chapel, 262 Broadway Street, Tillsonburg 519-842-4238, by Life Celebrant Jeff Hicks. Inurnment to follow in the Courtland Baptist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Keith’s memory to the “Alzheimer Society of Oxford” or to the charity of your choice, through the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes, Tillsonburg, which has been entrusted with all funeral arrangements.
