It is with immense sadness, we the Marozsan family announce the sudden passing of our much-loved brother, uncle, nephew and friend, George Joseph Marozsan Jr., at his late St. Williams residence on March 24th, 2021, at the age of 60. George was born in Tillsonburg to the late George Marozsan Sr. (2006) and the late former Helen (Mekker) Marozsan (2007). Always a positive presence, full of life and energy, George will be greatly missed by all that knew him. George enjoyed spending time with his friends and siblings, whether it was fishing, helping on the family farm or even just having a conversation, he was a character that knew how to make people laugh and smile. He could often be seen riding his bicycle in St. Williams, while enjoying the fresh air and beautiful rural countryside or relaxing at home watching television. George was a member of Sacred Heart R.C. Church, Langton. Forever loved by his siblings Angeline ‘Angie’ (Dale) Vranckx, of St. Williams; Gary Marozsan, of RR2 Courtland. Special uncle to Nick (Amanda) Vranckx and great-uncle to Eloise and Zoey; Wes (Cassandra) Vranckx; Dale Vranckx Jr. Survived by his uncles Joe (Janice) Mekker, Steve Mekker, Bill Marozsan (late Irene) and by several cousins. Always a close friend to Ron Yantho and his sister Mariann Barfoot.

In keeping with George’s expressed wishes, burial will take place on Saturday, March 27th, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Ladislaus Cemetery, Courtland following a Graveside Funeral Service. Friends, relatives, and neighbours are invited to be present at the Funeral Service, which will be officiated by family friend Rev. Allan Wilson. All guests must bring and wear a face covering and adhere to social distancing guidelines. There will be a celebration of life gathering in June of 2021, to be announced at a later date. All who knew George are invited to offer their support by posting photos, contributing donations in memoriam, and by sharing heartfelt memories on George’s tribute page at www.verhoevefuneralhomes.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the “Canadian Diabetes Association,” or to the “Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital Foundation,” can be arranged on George’s online tribute page at www.verhoevefuneralhomes.com or through the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes – Burial and Cremation Services Inc., Langton (519-842-4238), which has been entrusted with all funeral arrangements, with confidence.
