Obituary for Gunter Joseph "Gus" Holzheu
HOLZHEU, Gunter (Gus) Joseph (1935-2021) –
Passed away, peacefully, on November 17th, 2021, at Iler Lodge, Essex, Gunter Joseph Holzheu, formerly of Tillsonburg, at the age of 86. Affectionately known as “Gus” by friends and family, many will remember him as the dedicated proprietor of Warren Water Wells, for 40 plus years. Gus will be remembered by his family for his strong work ethic, his love for gardening and travelling and for his sincere devotion and love for his late wife of 45 years, “Marge” Marjorie I. (nee Warren) Holzheu (February 16, 2004) and his children: Mary Lynn Vince (late Todd (2021)), and their children Derek (Jenna) Vince (and their daughter Margot), of Toronto, Ryan Vince, of London; Larry Holzheu (Terry Venerus), of Hamilton. Survived by his close friend and companion Lorraine Gingras, of London, by his brothers Helmut Holzheu, of California, U.S.A. and Gart Holzheu, of Germany, as well as by his sister-in-law Nancy Warren, of Tillsonburg. Predeceased by his brother Wolfgang Holzheu.
In keeping with Gus’ expressed wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family gathering, and inurnment will take place later in the Tillsonburg Cemetery.
