Passed away, peacefully, at the Terrace Lodge, Aylmer, on February 11th, 2021 at the age of 89. Heinz Karl Mauersberger, formerly of Germany, Brampton, ON, and Tillsonburg, ON was born in Gornau, Germany to the late Oswald (1962) and late former Maria (Reichel) Mauersberger (1936). Heinz who grew up on a farm loved nature and farming and worked as a gardener in Germany. When Heinz immigrated to Canada in 1954 he worked for American Motors in Brampton and was then employed as a Farm Manager with the City of Brampton until his retirement. He also loved to work on his brother’s farm. Heinz was always very social and friendly, and he loved to travel the world and explore new cultures. He will be greatly missed by his relatives in Germany, his friends of over 60 years, Hans and Linda Tijssen (Amaranth Township), his friend Sylvia Morbitzer (Tillsonburg), and his former friends and neighbors in the Hickory Hills community, Tillsonburg. Heinz is survived by his beloved siblings Ilse and Werner, both of Germany. Predeceased by his siblings Paul, Fritz (1977), Frieda (2000), Martha (2008), Elsa (2021), Martin (2001) and Walter (2011).

In keeping with Heinz’s expressed wishes, cremation has taken place. Inurnment will take place in the Burns Cemetery in Mono Centre, Ontario in the spring.
