Obituary for Helen C. Young (Tuttle)
YOUNG, Helen Catherine (February 24, 1937 – May 31, 2022) –
The family sadly wishes to announce the peaceful passing of their much-loved mother, grandma, great-grandma, sister, aunt and a friend to many Helen Catherine (Tuttle) Young a longtime resident of Langton in her 86th year. Helen was a proud dedicated member of Langton Baptist Church and member of Langton Women’s Institute. Helen was an outstanding craft, painting and ceramic (hobbist) and a seasonal tobacco worker. Predeceased by her husband James Young (April 4, 1996). Loved mother of Jay Young and Marie, Simcoe; Guy Young and wife MaryAnn, Langton; Cheryl and Ken Dickenson, Langton; Jeff Young, Langton; Kim Fasseel (Mike Andries), Langton. Proud and loved grandma of seven grandchildren; Jessica, Tyler, Chelsea, Dalton, Kevin, Amber and Kyle and two loved great-grandchildren Brooklyn and Shayden. Also left behind is beloved sister Ruth (John); Kathleen (Paul) and Wayne (late Sharon) and survived by nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by a son Ricky (1972), sister Marion, brother Donald, son-in-law Frank (2002).
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service to celebrate Helen’s life to be conducted by Rev. Al Wilson on Monday, June 6th, 2022, at 11:00 am in the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes – Burial and Cremation Services Inc, 40 Queen Street, Langton (519-842-4238). Public visitation will take place on Sunday, June 5th, 2022, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Langton Funeral Home. Interment follows in the Langton Baptist Cemetery.
