HOARE, Jacqueline (“Jackie”) M. (nee Coderre) (Brinn) – December 19, 1942 - July 20, 2022 -

It is with profound sadness we announce that Jacqueline “Jackie” Hoare (Brinn) passed away surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, after a courageous and hard-fought battle with cancer. Jackie was fortunate to be raised in a large, loving family, that was her whole world. She was our matriarch and will be greatly missed and deeply cherished. She is predeceased by her parents Herman (1992) and Jean Coderre (2011). Her loving husband and best friend Verne “Pa” Brinn (2005), her son Donny Brinn (1993), as well as her siblings Leo, Phil, Gerald, Bobby, Shirley, Roddy, and Chick. To have one great love in your life is fortunate, but Jackie was blessed to have had two. She will be deeply missed by her husband Kenneth (“Ken”) Hoare; son and daughter-in-law Terry and Cecil Hoare and grandchildren, Johnathan Hoare and Catherine Hoare (Philippe). She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her sons; Gord Brinn, Steve Brinn, and daughter-in-law Jenny Brinn. She was the best Nanny to Heather Brinn (Chuck), Tabitha Brinn (Nick), Mike Brinn (Sarina), Dawn Brinn and Steven Jr. Brinn. Adoring great-grandmother of Knox, Sophia and Kash and dear sister to Marilyn and Lawrence. She is also remembered by her many loving brothers and sisters-in-law, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Jackie meant a lot to a lot of people; to know her was to love her. She was vibrant with life. There was never a hair out of place, and she was always fashionable and impeccably dressed. She loved to dance and sing and was happiest when she was at the local jamborees. She attended for years with Pa, dragging along her teenage grandchildren. After losing her husband, it took a while, but she found solace there. She made many special friendships and connections. She even befriended and met her second husband there. She had a great life. You could always count on her. The coffee was always brewing, and she was never too busy for a chat. She was honest and had no trouble voicing her opinion, but she truly cared about people and making a connection. Defying expectations is what she did best. You could never tell her she couldn’t do something; she would always prove you wrong. She was the true lifeblood of our family and we are going to miss her beyond words.

“Special thank you to the nurses at TDMH for the care, compassion and friendship they showed to Jackie and the entire family.”

In keeping with Jackie’s expressed wishes, a public Funeral Service to honour her life will be held on Wednesday, July 27th, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes Chapel, 262 Broadway, Tillsonburg, by Pastor Ted Smith, of Courtland United Church. Cremation follows; with a celebration of life to be shared at a later date.
