Born on November 23, 1945 to the late Alexander Banks Duffus and late former Margaret Cruickshank, they immigrated to Canada together in 1950. For over 40 years, James drove a transport truck for Verspeeten Cartage, Celadon, among other companies and most recently for Keypoint Carriers Ltd., in Woodstock. An honours graduate of Mohawk College, where he studied Computer Programming Systems Analysis, James continually educated himself throughout his life. He was the Club Director of the local bridge league, played at the Royal Canadian Legion Br#153, where he also participated in- and excelled at- Snooker. James was a member of St. John’s Anglican Church. Affectionately remembered by his wife of 55 wonderful years, Shirley Duffus (Hysert) and by his children: Katrina (Jay McCulligh), Robert Duffus, Peter (Samantha) Duffus and James ‘Jay’ Duffus (Kathy Fisk). Dearly missed by his 15 grandchildren: Jonathan, Allison, Braedon, Paige, Kimberly, Caelan, Alexander, Brianna, Dylan, Alexander, Marek, Lincolin, Jayce (and her mother, Missy Ross), Kiona, Emily Ruth, and by 4 great-grandchildren.
