Obituary for John Charles Pattinson
With heavy hearts the family announce the passing of our beloved John at the Sakura House Residential Hospice in Woodstock on Friday, December 11th, 2020.
John was predeceased by his father John Robert Pattinson and mother Lillian Victoria (Richardson) Pattinson. Cherished brother of predeceased sister Barbara Wilcox (Larry) of Tillsonburg, sister Elizabeth Smith (Jake) of Strathroy, brother Bob Pattinson (Darryl) of London and brother Jim Pattinson (Sharon) of Huntsville. John will be greatly missed by several nephews and nieces and many friends.
John was born in Woodstock and a long-time resident of Tillsonburg.
John will be remembered for his fifteen dedicated years of employment at the Tillsonburg Golf and Country Club (now The Bridges), as a well-liked Golf Club Superintendent, retiring in 2005. John has always been an avid golfer.
John was a Life Member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #153, Tillsonburg and was an active participant of several sporting groups within the Legion.
In keeping with John’s expressed wishes, cremation has taken place and his ashes will be spread at a later date in Jasper, Alberta.
