Obituary for Julia Cornelia Goudeseune (Mylleville)
GOUDESEUNE, Julia Cornelia (nee Mylleville) (February 11, 1928 – March 26, 2022)
It is with sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of our much-loved mother, grandmother, and friend, Julia C. Goudeseune, of Delhi and formerly of Langton, on March 26, 2022, at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe, in her 95th year. Julia was born in Langemark, W.F., Belgium, daughter of the late Marcel Mylleville and the late former Zulma Cornelia Maddelein. Julia was a member of Sacred Heart R.C. Church, Langton, and was a former member of both the Sacred Heart and La Salette Catholic Women’s Leagues.
Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Brian Goudeseune and his wife Lynn, of Ilderton. Proud and loving “Gramma” of Kevin (and wife Jen), of London, and Matthew, of Ilderton. Survived by her sister-in-law Noella Mylleville and by nieces, nephews, and cousins. Reunited in Heaven with her much loved husband and best friend of 48 years, Lucien Goudeseune (May 13, 2004). Predeceased by her brother and sisters Maurice, Henri (and first wife Maria, second wife Margaret), Cyriel, Jules (and wife Martha), infant sister Godelieve, Maria (and husband Andre), twin brother Arthur.
In keeping with Julia’s expressed wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends, relatives, and neighbours are invited to attend a public visitation on Monday, April 4th, 2022, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes Chapel, 40 Queen Street, Langton. A public funeral liturgy of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, April 5th, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. in the Verhoeve Funeral Home Chapel, Langton, by Rev. Fr. Thomas Kuriacko. Burial follows in the Sacred Heart R.C. Cemetery, 24 Albert St., Langton. All who knew Julia are invited to share fond memories, favourite photos, send flowers or contribute memorial donations to the “Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario” via Julia’s online tribute page at www.verhoevefuneralhomes.com.
