Obituary for Julianna (nee Kondar) Zsebok

ZSEBOK, Julianna (nee Kondar) (June 28, 1946 – May 2, 2022) –

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our much-loved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Julianna (nee Kondar) Zsebok, on May 2nd, 2022, at the Victoria Hospital – LHSC, London, at the age of 75. Julianna was born in Epöl, Hungary, to the late Janos Kondar and late former Katalin Rezsnyak. Survived by her much-loved husband of 56 years, Karoly Zsebok, of Courtland. Karoly and Julianna emigrated to Canada from Hungary in 1971 to begin a new life for their family. When they came to Canada they lived in Brampton, Ontario and then settled in Courtland with a successful poultry farm as well as building and operating the Courtland Car Wash. Always a proud and loving mother and grandmother to: Heidi and Michael Nunn, of Courtland and their children: Alex Nunn (Sarah), James Nunn (Cassandra), Shaun Nunn (Emma); Katherine and Sean McSpadden, of Tillsonburg and their children: Elizabeth, Annaleigh, and Estelle McSpadden. Predeceased by her siblings Ilona Szarka, Katalin Fazekas, and Janos Kondar. Julianna held a very strong faith and was a devoted member of St. Ladislaus R.C. Church, Courtland. Her joy was being a most attentive and caring grandmother to all 6 grandchildren. Julianna was a hard worker, and selfless - always going above and beyond to help her family and friends. She loved to spend time gardening, and was an amazing cook and baker- she was formally trained as a Pastry Chef in Hungary and was well known for all of her desserts but especially her Kremes.

In keeping with Julianna’s expressed wishes, cremation has taken place. Public visitation will be held on Friday, May 6th, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes Chapel, Tillsonburg.
