Obituary for Julie Lynn Pitz (Cook)

PITZ, Julie Lynn (nee Cook) (February 17, 1965 – April 11, 2022) -

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our much-loved wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, and friend, Julie Lynn (nee Cook) Pitz, a resident of Tillsonburg and formerly of Norwich, while vacationing in Reddick, Florida, U.S.A., on Monday, April 11th, 2022, at the age of 57. Julie is survived by her much-loved husband and best friend of nearly 42 years, Michael (Mike) Raymond Pitz. Always a proud and caring mother to her children and families: Andrea (Joe Panton), of Norwich and children: Dakota (Ryan), Owen (Hallea), Taylor; Christine (Todd Payne), of Otterville and children Jakob, Evan, Zachary, Robyn; Kaitlynn (Robert Verhoeve), of Tillsonburg and children Lucas, Eleanor; Emilie (Chris Foster), of Guelph and daughter Violet. Lovingly remembered by her siblings Catherine Dalton, of Ingersoll; Brenda (Russell Morgan), of Norwich; Victor Cook, of Norwich; Lora (Steve Gray), of Mississauga. Dearly missed by her sister-in-law Megan (Wayne Lillywhite), of Beachville; brother-in-law Brian Pitz, of Norwich. Julie is also survived by her mother Paula Jones (Brian Branton), of Tillsonburg, her father John Cook, of Verschoyle, and nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by her uncle David Jones (2022) (late first wife Debbie Jones 2018) (survived by wife Blanche Jones), late niece Stefani Lillywhite (2010), late niece Claire Lillywhite (2014).

In Celebrating Julie’s Life, a private funeral service was held on Thursday, April 21st, 2022, in the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes Chapel, 262 Broadway, Tillsonburg by Pastor Ron Teranski, of Woodstock Seventh-day Adventist Church. Private family interment followed in Tillsonburg Cemetery. A private family visitation has been held.
