Lillian arrived safely Home into the arms of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Saturday, May 23, 2020. Lillian “Till” Gladys Leone (Bates) Robinson, of RR4 Langton and formerly of Houghton Township, passed away at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, in her 85th year. Born in Toronto, to the late Arthur Bates and late former Rebecca Dean, Lillian’s strongest legacy is her love for her husband of 64 years, Harvey Robinson. They cherished their time together and she adored him, it was obvious to anyone who saw them. A proud member of Cultus United Church and U.C.W., Lillian set her beliefs into action with continuous prayer, learning and teaching through her faithful involvement as a Sunday School Teacher for many years. In Houghton Township, Lillian was the first coordinator of E.S.L (English as a second language), served on the First District Health Council from 1981-1987 and with the 1981 inception of the Mental Health Advisory Committee, served until 1989. Always community minded, she later participated in the Adult Basic Literacy Program at the Multi-Service Center, beginning in 1992.
Lillian will be dearly missed by her much-loved children Cindy (Dan) Puklicz, of Port Dover and Linda (Don) Barry, of Port Rowan. Predeceased by her beloved son Mark Richard Robinson (October 28, 2018) and survived by his wife Michelle Robinson, of Winfield, British Columbia. Beloved grandma to Christopher (Melissa) Puklicz, Shannon (Jeremy) Puklicz, Aspen (Ludovic) Gagne, Wyatt Barry, Wade (Paige) Barry, Daniel Robinson, Sierra Robinson and great grandma to Abigail, Greyson, Victoria, and David. Survived by her sister Jean and brother-in-law Ron Nevill, of St. Thomas and by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by her siblings John “Jack” Bates, Charles Ronald Bates, Maryann (Earl) Wellesley, Betty (Erwin) Turill, and Barbara (Bill) Gorvett.
