Obituary for Logan Mackenzie Evens

The family sadly announces the sudden passing of a loved son, loved grandson, loving brother, loved partner, a special nephew and cousin and good friend to many throughout the Langton area. Logan Mackenzie Evens, of Langton, in his 24th year. Logan was loved by many and he made a lasting positive impact upon many lives. Logan was a dedicated employee of Lower Lakes Towing Ltd., Port Dover and he loved the outdoors, fishing and life on the water. He also loved camping, canoeing and even building homes with a construction crew on occasion. Truly Logan lived a happy life to the fullest (“without fear”). Logan graduated from Holy Trinity High School, Simcoe in 2015. Loved son of Pat Evens and his partner (Nicole Rymer), Langton and; Melanie (Klassen) Evens and her partner (Bryan Egan), Brantford. Loved brother and best friend of BreeAnn, Langton. Much loved grandson of Tom and Lydia Klassen, Port Rowan and Denise Evens, RR1 Delhi and the late Frank (September 29, 2018). Loved long time partner of Becca Downs, Simcoe. Survived by aunts, uncles: Bernadette (Ben) Tisdale and family, Delhi (Uncle Randy – deceased 1997); Christine (Michael) Gubesch and family, Langton; Patrick Klassen, Port Dover; Chris (Julia) Klassen and family, Oro Medonte, Ontario.

Cremation has taken place. In light of COVID-19 social distancing regulations, a Private Family Service to Celebrate Logan’s Life will take place in the MAURICE J. VERHOEVE FUNERAL HOMES – BURIAL AND CREMATION SERVICES INC., Chapel, 40 Queen Street, Langton by Pastor Bill Wiebe of the Port Rowan Community Church. Scheduled Visitation will take place on Friday, June 19th, 2020 between 2:00 and 4:00 pm with a service at 4:00 pm in the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes, Langton. There will be a celebration of Logan’s life at a later date for his family and many friends especially for everyone but also for those who could not be at neither the visitation nor the funeral service at this time. Celebration of life details to be announced in the future.
