Vanwynsberghe, Luc Gerard Leon (January 7, 1951 – December 16, 2021) –
The family sadly announces the passing of our much-loved father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and devoted friend to many. Luc loved his wife of 46 years Terry Lynn (La Forge) Vanwynsberghe and he adored his family. Luc started his career as a MIG welder at Manchester Tank (4 years). Later he was a dedicated employee at Mussel's Trucking Ltd., Walsingham (18 years). For the past 16 years, he worked for Equipment Express Inc., Ayr as an escort driver for long haul wide load trailers, throughout much of North America. The Vanwynsberghe family, Robert Jules, and Mary Louisa (nee Algoet) and their children arrived in Quebec from Rotterdam by sea, on Wednesday, July 10th, 1957, whereby the family then moved across to Ontario. They settled in Langton, became involved in the bourgeoning tobacco growing community and they never looked back. Luc gave back to his community in many ways. He frequently helped anyone who needed a hand, he coached Langton Minor Hockey Association Teams, coached Langton Minor Soccer Teams, and he was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Port Rowan BR#379. Luc was a Director with Langton Minor Hockey and he played hockey with the Langton Oldtimers.
