Obituary for Lynne Karen Lake-Sinden

LAKE-SINDEN, Lynne Karen (1946-2022) –

Our family is sad to announce the peaceful passing of our much-loved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, Lynne Karen (nee LaRocque) Lake-Sinden, a longtime resident of Tillsonburg, in her 75th year. Lynne passed away peacefully at the VON Sakura House Hospice, surrounded by loved ones. Born in Bradford, Yorkshire, England, U.K., daughter of the late Henry and late Eileen LaRocque (nee Howroyd). Lynne will be remembered for her dedicated 33 years at both Hoover and Johnson Controls, Tillsonburg, from where she retired in 2008. Lynne was especially known for being an avid reader, tole painter, and animal lover. Cooking was Lynne’s passion, and she was well known and loved for feeding her family and neighbours. Lovingly remembered by her children Cindy (Tim) Bernardo, of Dorchester; Wendy Edkins (Russell Ball), of Sandy Point, Nova Scotia; stepdaughter Hillary Sinden, of North Bay. Special grandmother to David (Danielle) Bernardo, Kristen Bernardo, Eric Edkins (Lynne Whitelaw), Keelan Edkins (Adrienne MacLeod) and caring great-grandmother to Jayden, Victoria, Evelyn, and Franklin.

In keeping with Lynne’s expressed wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends, relatives, and neighbours are invited to attend a public graveside service to celebrate Lynne’s life on Thursday, March 3rd, 2022, at 2:30 p.m. at the Tillsonburg Cemetery Columbarium Wall, by Deacon Brian Hanley, of St. Mary’s R.C.
