Obituary for Marcel Joseph Demaree
It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Marcel Joseph Demaree. He passed away peacefully at home, on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at the age of 95. Marcel is predeceased by his beloved wife of 45 years, Rachel Suzanna (Demaiter) Demaree (May 25, 2000). Forever remembered as a loving father to: David (Patricia) Demaree, of Tillsonburg; Martha (William Day), of London; Sandra (Charles Doran), of Ayr; Brian (Karen) Demaree, of Tillsonburg; Michael Demaree, of Tillsonburg and predeceased by infant daughter Lisa Demaree. Proud grandfather of 14 grandchildren Lauren (Daniel), Matthew (Angela), Mark, Amanda (Arjun), Brett (Devin), Julie, Kathleen (Chaz), Brian, Cali, Megan, Benjamin, Jack, Tyler, Jennifer and 3 great-grandchildren Ashton, Ava and Kip. Survived by his sister Clara Demaree, of London. Marcel was born in West Lorne, Ontario to the late Leon Joseph Demaree and the late Julia (Venrietvelde) Demaree. Marcel spent his working life as a farmer, managing and operating several successful farms. Marcel exemplified the qualities of perseverance, patience, wisdom, and service to others. In his retirement, Marcel enjoyed boating, fishing, bird watching and spending time with his family. Marcel will be deeply missed by his family and all those who knew him.
