Obituary for Margaret H. Vandenberghe (Krohe)
VANDENBERGHE, Margaret H. (nee Krohe) (August 28, 1941 – April 12, 2022) -
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our much-loved mother, grandmother, and friend, Margaret H. (nee Krohe) Vandenberghe, at LHSC – University Campus, London, on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at the age of 80. Predeceased by her beloved husband and soulmate of 42 years, André Vandenberghe (April 13, 2003). She was a resident of Tillsonburg, formerly Norwich Township, where together she and André farmed tobacco for many years. Margaret was a member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church and C.W.L., Tillsonburg and a former member of the Our Lady of La Salette C.W.L. Margaret loved spending time with family and would rarely miss an opportunity to play bridge. Proud and loving mother and grandmother to: Michele Vandenberghe (John Skeoch), of London and their son Justin; Marianne Williams (Tom), of Etobicoke and their children Sarah, Christopher, Jack; Melinda Vandenberghe (Jason Nguyen), of Oakville. Also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by her parents Cecil Krohe and Gladys (nee McDonald) Krohe, as well as by her siblings Leo Krohe and Marion McMahon.
In Celebration of Margaret’s life and faith, a public Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 19th, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s R.C. Church, 51 Venison St. W., Tillsonburg, by Rev. Fr. Thomas Kuriacko. Interment follows in Our Lady of La Salette Cemetery, La Salette. Public visitation will be held on Monday, April 18th, 2022, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes Chapel, 262 Broadway, Tillsonburg. All C.W.L. members are invited to attend a La Salette C.W.L. Prayer Service on Monday, April 18th, at 3:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
