Passed away, peacefully, on February 7th, 2020 at Secord Trails LTC, Ingersoll, Marie Ilene Durward, in her 93rd year. Born in Tillsonburg, Ontario to the late Leo Ernest Berry and Ethel May (Stilwell) Berry. Marie was employed as a telephone operator with Bell Canada, later she joined Ford Motor Company (Oakville), where she was a data entry (punch card) operator. Marie enjoyed singing, paper tolling, sewing and crocheting. She also enjoyed trying new recipes and baking. Marie enjoyed her time at the family cottage in Parry Sound, on the Manitouwabing Lake.

Marie was a dedicated and most loving wife to the late Allen Robert Minshall (May 29, 2019), for over 69 years. Marie will be greatly missed by her children: Karen (Carol) Durward, of Calgary, Alberta; Lana (David) Caracciolo, of Kingston and their children Laura (Matthew) McKenney), Lisa Caracciolo, Brandon (Philomena) Caracciolo; Robert (Irma) Durward, of Orillia and their children Bob (Vicki) Durward, Adelynne Durward, Timothy Durward, Alexandra and Antonio Durward; Dennis (Wendy) Durward, of Pickering and their children Russell Durward, and Leslie Durward. Marie will be greatly missed by her four special great-grandchildren Daniel, Isaac, Robbie and Lilly. Survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her brother Ernie Berry. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes- Burial and Cremation Services Inc., 262 Broadway, Tillsonburg (519-842-4238).

There will be no visitation nor a funeral service, inurnment will take place in the Tillsonburg Cemetery. A Celebration of Life for both Marie and Allan Durward will take place at a later date, to be announced. If desired, memorial donations to the “Canadian Cancer Society” would be appreciated by the family.
