Obituary for Mariette Sinnesael (Wulleman)

Passed away, after a courageous struggle with illness, at Brantford General Hospital on Wednesday, November 20th, 2019, Mariette (Wulleman) Sinnesael, of Delhi and formerly of Langton, at the age of 87. Mariette was a proud Life Member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary Branch #125, in Delhi. Mariette farmed tobacco for many years alongside her late husband Maurice in the Langton area. When Maurice retired, she continued to work at Sunnyside Flowers, Courtland for another 10 years. Mariette will be fondly remembered by her children for her fabulous baking and cooking, her love for dancing and for her caring and supportive nature for their family. Mariette was born in Norfolk County to the late Marcel Wulleman and late Eliza (VanAcker) Wulleman. Predeceased by her much-loved husband of 61 years, Maurice Camiel Sinnesael. Survived by her three much loved children: Bradley (Gloria) Sinnesael, of Delhi; Lesha Laronde, of Earlton; Darren Sinnesael, of Langton and reunited in heaven with her loved sons: Brian and Bob (Wanda) and her loved daughter Delores (Chuck Alward). Proud and loving grandmother of Sarah, Bryon, Amber (Kevin), Jade (Jordan), Kiiwedin, Brayden; and special great-grandmother to Gracelyn and Kaleb. Survived by her sisters Jeanette (George) Duwyn, of Norwich and Fran Verspeeten (Ralph Greenland), of Simcoe. Predeceased by her brother Albert Wulleman (Jackie).

Friends, neighbours and relatives are invited to attend a time of visitation on Friday, November 22, 2019 from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. in the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes- Burial and Cremation Services Inc. Chapel, 40 Queen Street, Langton (519-842-4238). Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, November 23rd at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, 24 Albert Street, Langton by Rev. Fr. Thomas Kuriacko. Interment to follow in the Sacred Heart R.C. Cemetery. Memorial donations are payable to the “Alzheimer Society” or to the “Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario” through the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes, entrusted with all funeral arrangements.
