Obituary for Martha May Marshall (Walker)

Passed away, suddenly but peacefully, on Wednesday, June 3rd, 2020 at the Delhi Long Term Care Centre, Martha May (Walker) Marshall, formerly of Tillsonburg and Langton, in her 85th year. Martha was a proud and dedicated member of the Royal Canadian Legion - Ladies Auxiliary (Branch #524, Port Burwell). She enjoyed playing cards, darts, and her Breakfast Club. Always dedicated to her family, Martha will be dearly missed.

Predeceased by her longtime friend and partner Charles A. Roose (2013). Much loved mother of: John James (Sharon) Marshall, of Vienna; Shielah (Henry Miller), of Edmonton; Dwight (Marlene) Marshall, of Langton; Diane Marshall, London; Bruce (Mary) Marshall, of St. Williams; Lisa Marshall (Mike), of Cultus; and Christine Anderson, of Tillsonburg; and daughter-in-law Annie Marshall (late Edwin 1992), of Langton. Loving grandmother of 19 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Survived by six loved brothers and one sister, several nieces, nephews and cousins in Quebec and Ontario and by many friends in Tillsonburg and Langton. Predeceased by her parents William Walker and Una May (Smith) Walker and the father of her children John Marshall (2005). Also predeceased by a brother in Vineland, Ontario and a sister in Quebec.

In light of the recent COVID-19 social distancing regulations, a Private Funeral Service to Celebrate Martha’s Life will take place by Phyllis Buchner LWL, of Fairground, Ontario. This service is private and restricted to a limited number of guests, we apologize for the inconvenience, but we ask that you keep Martha’s family in your thoughts. The Funeral Service will be broadcasted live and can be viewed through our website on Saturday, June 6th at 11:00 a.m.

SCHEDULED VISITATION PERIODS CAN BE ARRANGED BY CALLING (519-842-4238), with all visitors remaining in their cars until called by funeral directors at the prescribed time. Interment follows in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Walsingham.
