Obituary for Mary Frances Evans

Mary Frances Evans, formerly of Langton, and Walsingham, passed away, peacefully, at the Caressant Care, Courtland with, family by her side, on Saturday, August 24th, 2019 in her 87th year. Born in Walsingham daughter of Ray Long and Mary (Eade) Long. Predeceased by her husband George W. Evans (1987). Survived by her loving daughters: Linda Schmeltz (Larry), Tillsonburg; Rose Veinot (Vance), Langton; Jackie Graham, Courtland; Barb Kriston (Bob), Oshawa; and a son Brian Evans (Kim), Vienna. Predeceased by a son Wayne Evans (January 16, 2017). Beloved sister of Percy Long (Dale), Tillsonburg; Gladys Ecker, Tillsonburg; Jim Long (Marie), Walsingham; Edna Telford (Ronald), St. Williams. Also survived by sister-in-law: Irene Rymer and Elaine Brown. Very much-loved Grandma of 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and adopted granddaughter Tracy that always went above and beyond the call of duty at the Caressant Care. Frances was a proud and dedicated Life Member of both the Walsingham Women’s Institute and the Long Point Lioness.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the MAURICE J. VERHOEVE FUNERAL HOMES – BURIAL AND CREMATION SERVICES INC., Tillsonburg. Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 31st, 2019 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion – (Br. 153), 16 Durham St., Tillsonburg. Private Family Inurnment will take place at the Fairview Cemetery, Port Rowan, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations in Frances Evans’ memory may be made to” Long Point Lions - Guide Dogs” or any charity of your choice through the Maurice J.
