Passed away, peacefully, with loving family by her side, on Saturday, January 11th, 2020 at the Woodingford Lodge, Tillsonburg, Mary Yvonne Van De Maele, formerly of Port Burwell and Straffordville in her 94th year. Born in Ninove, E.F., Belgium daughter of Arthur Frans Kosynski and Marie Adeline (Cobbaert) Kosynski. Mary was a member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Tillsonburg. Mary and Ben grew tobacco in the Port Burwell area and later resided in Straffordville. Mary is reunited with her loved husband of 51 years “Benny” Ben Van De Maele (October 28, 1997). Much loved mother and mother-in-law of: Jeanette (Maurice Demeulemeester), R.R. 1 Delhi; Lynda Van De Maele (Brian Bennett), Tillsonburg; Larry Van De Maele (Sandra Lambrecht), London; Carol Ann (Terry Marcus), London. Proud and loving grandmother of ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Survived by a cousin Gabriel Van De Wiele, Tillsonburg (late Mary). Predeceased by her cousin Victor and Alida Van De Wiele. Predeceased by a brother Paul Kosynski (December 2, 2018). Survived by a sister-in-law Alice Kosynski and family in Delhi.

Friends and relatives will be received by the Van De Maele family on Monday, January 13th, 2020 from 5 to 8 pm in the MAURICE J. VERHOEVE FUNERAL HOMES – BURIAL AND CREMATION SERVICES INC. Chapel, 262 Broadway Street, Tillsonburg (519) 842-4238. Parish Prayers will take place on Monday at 7 pm. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 14th, 2020 at 11 am at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, 51 Venison St. W., Tillsonburg by Rev. Fr. Thomas Donohue. Private Family Interment to follow in the Tillsonburg Cemetery.
