Obituary for Keith Nichols

Passed away peacefully, after a short but courageous struggle with cancer, with loving family by his side at the V.O.N. Sakura House, Woodstock on January 9th, 2020, Robert “Keith” Nichols, of Tillsonburg, in his 88th year. Keith was a retired Supervisor at RJR McDonald Tobacco Industries for 32 years. He was a proud member of Goshen Baptist Church. Much loved husband and best friend of 59 years of Emma Marina “Molly” Nichols (May 12, 2017). Caring father of: John (Becky) Nichols, and Mary (Harvey) Skinner. Beloved grandfather of Elizabeth (Dale Leaitch-Henry), Gordon (Rebecca), Emily, Rachael Nichols (Jonathan Huys), as well as Adam, Aaron and Ethan Skinner. Also survived by a special great-granddaughter Scarlett Emma Marina Nichols, his sister Mary (John Sutton), a sister-in-law Bridget (Doug) Gendron, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his parents: Robert Gordon Nichols and Violet May McCready, as well as by a sister-in-law and brother-in-law Judy and Tim Timmons.

Friends, neighbours and relatives are invited by the family to attend a visitation of remembrance on Tuesday, January 14th, 2020 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes- Burial and Cremation Services Inc. Chapel., 262 Broadway Street, Tillsonburg. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service to be conducted on Wednesday, January 15th, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, Tillsonburg, by Rev. Carl Walters, of Goshen Baptist Church. Private inurnment to take place later in the Springford Cemetery. Memorial donations in Keith’s memory are payable to “Goshen Baptist Church” or to “V.O.N. Oxford” (for Sakura House), through the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes, Tillsonburg, entrusted with arrangements.
