Obituary for Robin Gay Evens

It is with deep sorrow, we, the Evens and Lambert family announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many, Robin Gay Evens, on February 27th, 2021 at the University Hospital (LHSC), London, at the age of 66. For her dedication to her family and friends, for her contributions to Courtland United Church and to the Langton-area community, her passing will be grieved by all who knew her. She will be remembered for her 34 years as the co-proprietor of Country Sports in Langton, alongside her husband Ron. When the business was sold and relocated to Tillsonburg, following retirement, she carried on with assisting Morgan and Heidi, which demonstrates the passion she had in everything that she committed to. She was a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star, between the Port Rowan Chapter, Delhi Chapter, and eventually the McDonald Chapter #167, Tillsonburg. Also, a member of the U.C.W., and Supervisor of the Courtland United Church Cemetery.

Loving and beloved wife of 47 years to Ron, and most-caring mother to her children: Jarrett, of Tillsonburg; Dwayne, of Toronto and Darryl (Lindsay), of St. Agatha, as well as to her chosen daughters Angela and JJ in Toronto. Cherished ‘Mama’ to her grandchildren: Kylee, Summer, Clayton, Marcus, Scotland, and Wilder. Survived by her siblings: Terry (Mary Lou) Lambert, of Courtland; Sharon (Larry) Westcott, of Oakville; Rick (Sharon) Lambert, of Langton; Robert Lambert (Nelson), of Toronto; Rita Lambert (Larry), of Langton, and sister-in-law to Frank (Shirley) Evens, of Tillsonburg. Also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by her siblings Kristine Lambert (1955), Mark Lambert (2007), and her parents Harry S. Lambert (2012) and Mary-Camille (Barker) Lambert (2016).
