Passed away, peacefully, after a courageous struggle with illness, at L.H.S.C. - Victoria Campus, on Sunday, July 12th, 2020, Simone L. (Vanhooren) Van Daele, of Tillsonburg and formerly of Walsingham, in her 80th year. Born to the late Prudent Vanhooren and the late former Marguerite DeClercq. Simone is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Gus Van Daele. Simone was raised on the farm, working alongside her family for many years growing tobacco. Following marriage to Gus, they carried on farming for several more years. It was during this time that Simone decided to open her storefront “Siantre Fashions” in Tillsonburg. She could be described as a hard worker that likewise enjoyed shopping and had an impressive clothing collection. Simone will be dearly missed by her family, the center of her world, especially by her special great-grandchildren Avery and Ethan Andrews. Lovingly remembered by four grandchildren: Ashley Andrews (Chad), and their children Avery and Ethan; Ryan Van Daele; Justin Van Daele; Colin Van Daele; daughter-in-law Joanne Van Daele; and by many nieces, nephews, good friends and cousins. Predeceased by her son Rick Van Daele (1996), her step-daughter Kim Van Daele (2018) and her brothers Roger and Daniel.
