Obituary for S. Andrew "Andy" Winne
WINNE, S. Andrew “Andy” (March 12, 1940 – December 15, 2021) –
It is with deep sadness, we the Winne family announce the peaceful passing of our much-loved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, S. Andrew “Andy” Winne, of RR5 Langton, on Wednesday, December 15th, 2021, at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, in his 82nd year. Born in Tillsonburg, to the late Frank Winne and late Mary (nee Laemers) Winne. For Andy’s entire life, he lived at his late RR5 Langton residence, farming tobacco first with his parents, then alongside his much-loved wife and family. Andy was a member of Sacred Heart R.C. Church, Langton, was a former Belgian Fair Board Member and past member of the Port Rowan Optimist Club. Andy will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 56 years, Ingrid W. (Eeckeloo) Winne. Lovingly remembered by his daughter Angie (Dr. Brian Holowachuk), of Tillsonburg and by his son Paul (Bonnie) Winne, of Langton. Proud grandfather to five grandsons: Josh, Cam; and Alex, Ryan, Scott. Survived by two siblings and their families: Melany (Dan Verhoeve) and Patricia (Chuck Emre). Also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends.
In keeping with Andy’s expressed wishes, cremation has taken place. A complete private family Funeral Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 21st, 2021, in the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes- Burial and Cremation Services Inc. Chapel, 40 Queen Street, Langton, by Rev. Fr. Thomas Kuriacko. All attendees must wear a mask and are asked to always maintain social distancing regulations.
