Obituary for Theresa M. Kornacker
KORNACKER, Theresa M. (July 7, 1960 – January 15, 2023)
It is with deep sadness that the family of Theresa M. Kornacker announce her peaceful passing at the age of 62 on January 15, 2023. Theresa was a resident of Maple Manor Long Term Care in Tillsonburg and struggled courageously with MS. Born in Windsor to the late Paul J. Kornacker and Margaret E. (Barrett) Kornacker, she is survived by her loving sisters Margaret Ann Kornacker, of California, and Mary Frances McCormick, of Arizona, and her nephews Michael Smith, Mark Smith, and Montgomery Smith. Theresa had 5 great nieces & nephews: Jade, Jazmine, Jack, Evan and Ella, as well as a great-great niece and great-great nephew, Brielle and Jackson.
She loved all animals, especially the feline variety, and loved engaging in drawing and painting in her spare time. Theresa’s professional career was largely spent in service to the disabled and disadvantaged in group homes in Ontario and British Columbia. Theresa was an adherent of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Tillsonburg.
In keeping with Theresa’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no public visitation nor a funeral service. Friends and family are invited to share favourite memories, personal condolences or contribute memorial donations to the “MS Society” or to any animal welfare charity of choice, via Theresa’s online tribute page at www.verhoevefuneralhomes.com or by contacting the Maurice J.
