Obituary for "Terri" Theresa Schnurr (nee George)
SCHNURR, Theresa Louise R.N. (February 7, 1958 – June 14, 2023)
It is with heavy hearts, that we the family announce the unexpected passing of our much-loved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Theresa Louise Schnurr (aka “Terri” George), at her late Tillsonburg residence, on June 14th, 2023, at the age of 65. Terri was born in Tillsonburg, to the late Bill and Sharon (nee Doyle) George. She is also predeceased by her great-niece Adriana. Terri is survived by her much-loved son Jarrett (Heather) Schnurr, as well as by Jarrett’s father, Brian Schnurr, all of Waterloo. Always a proud grandmother to Scarlett and newborn granddaughter, Azalea. Also survived by her sister Jill (Cori) Carrizales, of Texas, U.S.A., by nieces Lisa, Kristina, by nephews, Adam, and Daniel, as well as by great-niece Mila.
Terri was a registered nurse at St. Joseph’s Healthcare, Hamilton. Terri’s dedication and hard work in both her profession and family life is a testament to the heart of gold she had. Her generosity made her one in a million. Terri will also be remembered as a pet lover and had many pets over the years including her dog, Rosie and her bird, Riley.
A Graveside Service to honour Terri’s Life will take place in the Tillsonburg Cemetery (193 Simcoe St., Tillsonburg), on Tuesday, June 20th, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Deacon Andre De Decker. Everyone who knew Terri is invited to share favourite memories, photos, send personal condolences and flowers, or contribute memorial donations to the “Canadian Cancer Society” (to support the “Wheels of Hope” program) via Terri’s online tribute page at www.verhoevefuneralhomes.com or by contacting the Maurice J.
