Obituary for William Lyle "Bill" Robertson
ROBERTSON, William (Bill) Lyle (April 11, 1949 – December 2, 2021) –
Passed away, peacefully at his Tillsonburg residence, on December 2nd, 2021, William (Bill) Lyle Robertson, formerly of Ottawa and High River, Alberta, at the age of 72. Born to the late William Norman Robertson and late Catherine Irene (Warring) Robertson. Bill will be remembered for his exuberant smile, compelling personality, and for his quiet, nomadic lifestyle. He was a former dedicated employee with Dupont Canada, Maitland (1985-1995), General Dynamics, Ottawa (1995-2008), and was more recently employed as a ‘maintenance man’. Born into a family of ten, Bill is survived by six of his siblings: Richard, Carol, Gerald, Hugh, June, and Katherine. Affectionately remembered as Uncle Boo/Beeb by his family. Predeceased by three siblings: Neil (Oct. 28, 2017), Susan (Dec. 7, 1972), and Beatrice (Nov. 30, 1973).
In keeping with Bill’s expressed wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family inurnment will take place later in the Maple Ridge Cemetery, Winchester, Ontario. All who knew Bill are welcomed to offer their support and care by sharing special memories, posting photos or by contributing memorial donations to the “Heart and Stroke Foundation” via Bill’s online tribute page at www.verhoevefuneralhomes.com.
